Trico 37-229 Teflon Winter Wiper Blade - 22" Reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars Winter Teflon Blades December 11, 2007
One of the better advances in windshield wipers. Winter blades by themselves usually work well but the addition of the teflon keeps the snow from building up on the blade edge.

Well, the blade is good. How can you have a 5 star blade? Worth the money.

2.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't craft it through one Colorado winter October 23, 2010
I live in the middle of the Rockies and a good set of wipers that can handle the snow and crust is hard to find. These were no exception. They worked great for the first month, then the inevitable streaking set in. By the end of the season, maybe 5 months, the protective cover/boot to keep hold of the ice out of the frame was starting to disintigrate. Within a couple weeks of the first crack in the casing the rest of the rubber was flapping in the wind, coming off in chunks and man a general distraction and annoyance. Obviously out of warranty. Nothing to be done but get some new wipers and it won't be these again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Product for the Price December 19, 2009
I ordered these in time for the winter season and am completely satified. The teflon edge on the blade competely cleans and drys the windshield on each wipe.
Be sure to coat the wiper edge with the packet of conditioner that comes near each blade. I'm sure that is why there is no "chattering or skipping" while they are in use.
Installation can be either a simple or minor chore depending on the type of attaching mount that your car requires. In either case, well worth the go as the rubber backing keeps the snow from "packing" on the arm of the blade

2.0 out of 5 stars The Flatter The Better January 9, 2010
I purchased a set of these for my 2008 Toyota Tacoma. The 21" passenger side wiper works great but the 22" driver's side misses about 4" of the upper windshield at the end of the wiper's stroke. It's a pick-up truck. The glass is almost flat with basically a slight curve but the wiper can't handle it. It's a premium product but can't do what it was intended to do. These aren't the wipers you're looking for. You can go about your business.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just another winter blade, it's ok. January 15, 2009
I've owned winter blades before and this one is nothing special. It works just similar to any other winter blade. When I first installed them they chattered and after break-in they streak just like other blades. The important thing is the ice doesn't freeze inside the frame, the rubber boot keeps them flexible after a winter storm. I'm glad I didn't pay retail because then I'd be disappointed. But for the price I paid on Amazon, they'll do for winter use.
